Reader survey: What are your expectations for "Shuang Tan 2.0"?
I invite you to help me make Shuang Tan 2.0 your go-to source on China's energy transition and climate actions. Take the survey now !
Hi, this is Hongqiao Liu. I've been tracking China's environmental crisis and decarbonisation since 2010.
In 2021, I launched the Shuang Tan newsletter on Substack.
After taking a year off, I plan to resume the project, continuing to provide accurate, nuanced, and insightful reporting on China's energy transition and climate policy.
I need your help to make "Shuang Tan 2.0" a publication that is helpful to you and your work. I thus invite you to participate in a short survey.
In ten multiple-choice questions, you will have the chance to tell me :
who you are
what you do
how Shuang Tan could better help you get your job done
how we can work together to accelerate climate action in China, and with China
You may expect to spend 10–15 minutes to complete the multiple-choice questions. And you are more than welcome to elaborate on your choices.
At the end of the survey, you are invited to leave your contact information so that I can follow up with a virtual coffee ☕ and put you on the preview list of the new prototype.
If you prefer not to reveal yourself, that is totally fine. In this case, your answers will also remain anonymous.
There is no deadline for your feedback. But I'm eager to read your comments as soon as possible so that I can take your suggestions into account when creating the new Shuang Tan 2.0 prototype.

Since you are here, I would like to share an explainer video that I participated in last October.
Congratulate the TED Countdown team for organising yet another thought-provoking discussion on the fossil fuel dilemma in the global just transition.
Watch it here:
P.S. I will pass by Boston and San Francisco next week (April 11–17). Drop me a line if you’d like to meet and chat.
Till next time… Hopefully, very soon!
Take care, Hongqiao
